Market Watch: Raspberries & Blueberries

The official start of summer may be a couple of weeks away, but don’t tell that to the fruit. There were three kinds of cherries available, as well as these perfectly ripened raspberries and blueberries. I couldn’t help but grab a lot of each; I’m just not sure what I’m going to do with them. Any ideas?

  1. they are really good just with whipped cream. Or have you ever tried making a crumble? It isn’t hard and tastes so good! Then again, you can never go wrong with a pie.

  2. I absolutely love making a glaze for the blueberries.I then place them in a graham cracker crust. The glaze adds sweetness and coats every berry so when you bite into a berry it bursts in your mouth. Delicious! Of course, the best berries are those that you pick yourself. My mother in law makes a baked blueberry pie but I prefer the fresh blueberries with glaze- it is also easier to glaze them.
