Brooklyn Farmacy

After a lackluster dinner in Carroll Gardens, Donny suggested we stop for dessert at Brooklyn Farmacy. I hadn’t heard of it, but as soon as we arrived I knew I would love it. Farmacy is basically a hipster’s take on the old fashioned soda counter, filtered through the local and seasonal mantra that all the kids are talking about. What does that mean? It means a perfect ice cream sundae, topped with a sauce made with fresh local peaches. It means a nectarine pie, served a la mode. Most of all, it means a place where everyone can have fun; those who reminisce about the days of actual soda fountains, and those who never had the pleasure. Fun fact — the day after we were there, our friends Jess & Garrett paid a visit.
